celebrating the impact of the Smith
Brothers on the town of Andover. A
demonstration of flax processing by hand
with Gail Raulston will be followed by
presentations on Smith & Dove Flax
Manufacturing Company by Jim Batchelder;
John & Peter Smith and Andover's
anti-slavery movement by Julie Mofford;
and the Smiths' establishment of
Andover's library as a Civil War
Memorial by Karen Herman. Admission is
free.
