These practitioners will discuss the importance of proper nutrition and exercise in the different phases of a woman’s life.

Tuesday April 4th: Cardiovascular disease

These questions and more will be answered during the discussion.

  • How do women know if they are at risk for or have heart disease?
  • Do women with heart disease have different symptoms than men?
  • What can women do to prevent and/or treat heart disease?

Tuesday, April 11th: Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Complaints

These questions and more will be answered during the discussion.

  • How do women know if they are at risk for Osteoporosis or Osteopenia?
  • What is the best way for women to build and maintain bone density?
  • What kind of exercise and nutrition will help inflamed joints?

Jill Kenney, a Naturopathic Doctor at FirstHealth of Andover, received her Doctorate from National College of Naturopathic Medicine. As a Naturopath, she places special emphasis on the role of nutrition and lifestyle choices in achieving optimal health. Dr. Kenney works with women with a variety of health concerns by addressing current health conditions and stressing the importance of preventative medicine in order to live a healthy, happy life.

Donna Schneider of FirstHealth of Andover has been involved in women’s health through exercise for over 15 years. As clinical exercise specialist, she has a higher level of knowledge and skill in prescribing the appropriate exercise to women of all ages. Donna is able to work with those who have existing medical conditions or those who would like to begin the journey to a healthy and safe exercise program.
