The second pilgrimage! The Kazanjians
will present in pictures, video, and
music their own account of their return
trip to Historic Armenian lands in
modern-day Turkey.
In 2010, their 2,000 mile journey
through more than 50 cities and villages
in Historic Armenia from the Black Sea
to the Mediterranean (Cilicia) included
ancestral locations, a climb to the
Monastery of Abarank, and a visit to
Hromgla.
Edward Kazanjian is a retired General
Dynamics engineer, public schools
administrator, and Assistant
Superintendent of Schools. Mary Ann
Arakelian Kazanjian, a former elementary
school teacher, is the church organist
formerly at St. James and presently at
St. Stephen’s Armenian Churches in
Watertown.
Sponsored by the
Friends of Memorial Hall Library and
the Merrimack Valley Knights of Vartan.
