Knitting on the Home Front

Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 1:00-4:00 pm

During World War II American women helped the war effort by knitting vests, scarves, hats, and other items for the soldiers overseas. Knitting gave the women and children at home a way to help. Join in a modern knitting day to benefit a local charity. Bring your finished donations or bring a project to work on to donate. Hats, gloves and scarves for all ages are welcome. Donated items will go to charities in the Merrimack Valley.
