Class as a whole Collect a wide variety of subjects, viewpoints, and material that applies to adults of all ages

Give preference to magazines indexed in sources available here

Consider whether available electronically in full text

Consider price per issue/potential usage

Consider difficulties in processing, handling, receipt

Monitor new areas for possible subject additions

Magazines for Libraries, Library Journal
Sample & review copies and other professional reviews

Staff suggestions

Check usage of titles up for renewal

Check usage of back years

Ask staff about usage

Popular magazines Consider two subscriptions where circ is high      
Scholarly/trade journals Consider those of great demand (medicine, education)

Newspapers Collect Greater Lawrence and Boston newspapers
