Copiers, phones, and other equipment available at MHL

Q:  Do you have a color photocopier?

No. The library has black and white photocopiers that produce single sided 8.5 x 11 or 8.5 x 14 copies at $.10 each.  Identical photocopiers are located on the Lower Level in the hall outside the Children's Room, on Level 1 opposite the elevator, and on Level 1 just past the main entrance.  Back to Top


Q:  Is there a telephone for public use?

There are coin-operated public telephones outside the library near the Lower Level entrance door.  Back to Top


Q:  May I use my cellular telephone to receive and make telephone calls while I am in the library?

We request that you turn off your cellular telephone while in the library. If you need to make a call on your cellular telephone, we request that you do so from the entryway of the main entrance door on Level 1 or the entryway of the door to the parking lot on the Lower Level.   Back to Top


Q:  Does the library have a public fax machine?

No, but a reference librarian can direct you to the nearest commercial fax machine.  Back to Top


Q:  The magazine/newspaper I need is on microfiche/microfilm. Can I print the article I need?

You can print from both the microfilm and microfiche readers. Ask a reference librarian for assistance.  Back to Top


Q:  Can I get a document notarized at the Library?

The library has notaries public who are available to notarize documents for $1.25 per seal. Please call 978-623-8400 to speak with one of our notaries to both schedule a convenient time and to verify that your document meets the recently changed Massachusetts Notary Laws.  Back to Top


Q:  What forms can I get at the Library?

The following forms are available near the Reference Desk on Level 1: voter registration, Andover Soccer Association registration, standardized test registration (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, LSAT, GRE), Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), flu shot, and most federal and state income tax forms.  Back to Top


Q:  I am vision impaired, but the book I need is not available in large print. Does the library have anything that can help me?
