Where can I locate Andover High School yearbooks?
Our Andover Room has most of the Andover High School yearbooks from 1956 to the present. We own fiche and film from 1916 to the present, with some gaps. Return to top

The Reference Desk has copies of the Andover Street Directory, compiled from the annual town census. Does the Library have a list of local babysitters?
The Andona Society sponsors a babysitting training course for young teens that is taught by doctors and nurses at West Middle School, Doherty Middle School & the local YMCA. Lists of the names and telephones numbers of the graduates are kept at the Library's Reference Desk. Return to top

Where can I find records for Andover marriages and deaths?
The Library's Andover Room holds marriage records from 1646 to 1914, birth records from 1649 to 1914, and death records from 1650 to 1914.  Records after 1923 are kept at the Andover Town Clerk's Office, Town Offices, 36 Bartlet Street. The Town Clerk's office hours are Mon-Fri. 8:30 am- 4:30 pm. 978-623-8255. Return to top

How can I obtain obituaries of Andover residents?
If you have the date of death you can check the newspaper archives in our Andover Room: Andover Advertiser Feb 19, 1853-Feb 10, 1866, Andover Townsman 1887-present, Lawrence American Feb 16, 1866 - Dec 27, 1907, and the Eagle Tribune 1940 - date. If you do not have the date of death, you can obtain it by contacting the Andover Town Clerk's Office at 978- 623-8255. Out-of-state patrons may request obituaries by letter to:

Where can I find information about local summer camps?
Every year the Library's Community Information staff compiles and published a booklet on summer programs for children in the Andover area. This booklet and other brochures concerning individual programs can be found at our Reference Desk and in the Children's Room.
