Just starting to read TWHT, but thought I’d mention that the film Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee is relevant to the opening of the book’s story of the Native Americans.
Also, a colleague of mine founded a free social studies resources website and there are many Great Depression resources that Andover readers may enjoy: Topic: US History Great Depression: http://tinyurl.com/cqopqg
I’ll be leading a book discussion of TWHT on Monday, April 6, at 10am in the Activity Room on the Lower Level of the library. That’s tomorrow as I write this. I’m having fun writing up the discussion questions. Hope some of you will come for what HAS to be an interesting discussion, as this is a fascinating and incredibley relevant book for our time. See some of you tomorrow, Monday, then.
