Andover Almshouse
From Andover Answers
The Andover Almshouse was located in the red brick structure that stands between Argyle and Arundel Streets until 1921, when William Wood bought the house and surrounding fields.
Incidently the structure is the best landmark for locating the site of the train derailment that killed President Franklin Pierce's son Benjamin on January 6, 1853.
