The Andover Mega Airport Transportation Taxi & Private Livery Service is owned by Jose Javier and was opened in 2004.  The business is based at 1 Dundee Park in Andover.  Javier also owns Central Car Services at 2 Dundee Park and has a combined total of about 30 taxis and 60 drivers.
This local company is owned and operated by Don Cowan who began selling hot dogs from his cart in 2001.  The storefront for the business is in Methuen, but he can be seen on Main Street in Andover in front of the Old Town Hall during the day on Thursday through Saturday with his cartHe travels throughout the area on Monday through Wednesday for special events and reserved engagements.


In 2009 Andover Mega received a cease and desist order from February 17, to 20.  Drivers working for the company were found to be driving unmarked vehicles because the company's taxi insurance has expired.  When the insurance was reinstated on February 20 and the taxi cars passed Andover Policy inspections.  The Board of Selectment decided not to take additional action against Javier at a hearing on March 30, 2009.
He also attends the annual fireworks display with a larger truck that also allows him to sell sausages, ice cream and shaved ice.


 
Cowan travels to a number of national events throughout the year to speak with individuals who are considering the purchase of a hot dog truck.
