William H. Foster, - 1941, was the editor of two magazines: ''National Sportsman'' and ''Hunting and Fishing''. He was a pioneer in the development of skeet shooting and in his later life he painted bird dogs,  The Purina Top Coverdog of the Year Award is presented in his honor.
