Crafts in the Park is a fundraiser run entirely by volunteers. All proceeds from booth fees go to providing scholarships for local students participating in international exchange programs and support for families hosting students from abroad. The event has taken place usually on the Saturday before Mother's Day since 1975.
*In June 2012 Spiro Pappadopoulos opened the burger and wings restaurant Sauce at Andolini's at 19 Essex Street, next to Andolini's, a restaurant owned by his family. The restaurant specializes in burgers, craft beers, wings, and  ribs.
