  • Ben Medler graduated from Andover High School, where he was a member of the jazz band, in 1991
  • He studied at Berklee College of Music for 2 years and attended jazz workshops in Portland, Oregon, where he met his wife, Michelle.
  • He taught jazz at Wilson High School in Portland for 7 years.
  • In 2001 he started the Portland Youth Jazz Orchestra.
  • In 2006 he released his first CD Azure with the Ben Medlar Trio. He also plays bass in the CD Balance by the Michelle Medlar Quartet.
