Dominick blended the history and culture era with tales of his medical practice and experiences running a dude ranch. It was not until the 1970's that he actually recorded the stories, some on paper and on tapeMs. Chivers transcribed and assembled them into a book titled ''Doctor Dewey''. The book was self published.
