*Ben Medler graduated from Andover High School, where he was a member of the jazz band, in 1991
*Boys Like Girls, a pop/rock group, was founded in 2005.


*He studied at Berklee College of Music for 2 years and attended jazz workshops in Portland, Oregon.
*Martin Johnson, lead singer for the group, graduated from Andover High School in 2004.


*He taught jazz at Wilson High School in Portland for 7 years.
*Other members of the group are Paul DiGiovanni and John Keefe, as well as Bryan Donohue who left the band.


*In 2001 he started the Portland Youth Jazz Orchestra.
*Their first album was ''Boys Like Girls'' released in 2006.


*In 2006 he released his first CD ''Azure''
*Their second album ''Love Drunk'' was released in 2009.


*In 2009 Martin Johnson sang the national anthem for a Patriot's game.
