on your own device...

Many of you have asked about buying a
MuVo or using your own MP3 player or iPod to get library-owned eAudio titles.
This is possible. Here's what you need
to know...
- To buy a MuVo -- Go to the
audible.com website to find out how to
purchase a MuVo. You can buy just the
MuVo, or you can purchase a variety of
plans for buying both a MuVo and your
own content. There are even plans
where you can get a free MuVo if you
sign a subscription agreement for a
certain amount of time.
- To buy an "Audible Ready" device
-- We strongly recommend that if you
are going to buy a device to listen to
our audiobooks that you buy a MuVo
(unless you are MAC owner). It is
optimized for Audible spoken word
content. The library also supports
MAC/Windows iPods.
- To use your own MP3 device -- The
library ONLY supports the Otis, MuVo and
MAC/Windows iPods. When you reserve a
title, be sure to let us know you will
be bringing in your own MuVo, Otis or iPod.
- To register your device on our
library account -- After you have an
"Audible Ready" device (Otis,
MuVo or
MAC/Windows/iPod) registered on your
own account,
contact us and let us
know that you want to register your
device on the library's account as
well. We will set up a time for you to
come in and register your device. Once
your device is registered on our
account, you will be able to come in
and have us download our content onto
your device (After three weeks, you
must delete the content from your
device.) You will then be able to use
your device to download both the
content you buy yourself and our
content (with our help).
- To download our content yourself
-- You can't do this yet, but we are
working with Audible to make this
possible. Stay tuned....
