Notification tips for Yahoo Mail users
Not getting your email notifications
from Memorial Hall Library??
Do you use Yahoo Mail?
Patrons of MVLC (Merrimack Valley
Library Consortium) have experienced
problems receiving email notifications
of holds, overdue materials, etc.
through their Yahoo Mail email accounts.
If you use another email service
including Hotmail, Gmail from Google,
AOL, etc. and have the same problem,
some of these fixes maybe useful for you
too.
Open up your Yahoo Mail.
On the left side of the window you
will see a list of your mail folders.
Click on the folder called
Bulk. Open
up this folder.
If you have any email notifications
from Memorial Hall Library double click
on it to open it.
At the bottom and top of the email
there is a button to click on that says
Not Spam.
Click on this and it will move it to
your regular mail folder. This may have
to be done several times before Yahoo
understands that it really isn't SPAM.
