Historical significance: Bessie Goldsmith says Bass kept a variety store at this address, turn of the century.

From back of building, one can see where the wing and other stories were attached formerly.

Built be J. W. Barnard and son Henry W. Barnard. In 1896, Omer Chase had shop for newspapers, periodicals, stationery, and confectionary store here.
