architectural description

2 1/2 stories; gable roof w/truncated ends; asym. Chimney & doorway (latter w/vestibule & columned portico); fašade has 4 windows across 1st floor, 3 across 2nd floor; enclosed, 2-story porch on north side

Additions include side and front porches, dormers

Landscape: fenced in riding pasture/grazing pasture. Trees include a 200 year-old copper beech, 24 semi- dwarf fruit trees, large elm and magnolia, blackberry and raspberry bushes

Significant architectural features:
Interior - 1st period staircase; gunstock beams; chamfered, rough-hewn beams; paneling
Exterior - The east facing fašade has 2 1/2 stories. The clapboard front is divided into 6 bays. The addition of side porches and dormers give this once symmetrical plan an asymmetrical plan. Starting from the east side with a one-story summer porch, to the main block consisting of a central door with columned portico, flanked by single sash windows. The west side porch is two stories.
