historical narrative

Present owner Phillips Academy. Original owner Abbot Academy. Used for faculty residence and dormitory. Residence of Abbot Academy headmistress, Bertha Bailey.
Themes - Architectural, Community development and Education. Believe this early 20th century house on site of old Tufts Butterfield house built by "Flagg, a carpenter" in 1830's.
