Okay all you baseball fans and wanna bees. Did you catch any of the Red Sox/Yankees games this weekend. Awesome if you are a Sox fan, not so much if you are a Yankees fan. (I know it is hard to believe there are some Yankee fans in New England–just doesn’t seem right! Anyway, even if you are a fan of neither or either team, or even if you just don’t like baseball (my kids say it is too long and dare I say boring?), I can’t help but think this weekend’s series turned a lot of heads toward the old ballpark. It was just so exciting as the leads flipped back and forth and the hits and home runs, including grand slams kept coming! What an exciting finish to Game One on Friday night too—Youuuuk! I know there are other big sports happenings in Boston this weekend but after all it is baseball in April. What a season we have ahead of us! We have a lot of great baseball books, both fiction and non-fiction in the Children’s Room. Here are some newer fiction titles to try. Bill Pennant, Babe Ruth and Me by Timothy Tocher; The Brooklyn Nine by Alan Gratz; Baseball great by Tim Green; and The Prince of Fenway Park by Julianna Baggott . Play ball!
Boston or New York?
