What is Freegal?

Freegal is a downloadable music service. All you need to access it is your Memorial Hall Library card number and your PIN. Freegal offers hundreds of thousands of songs, over 100 genres of music, and more than 50 record labels, all without having to download any software.

How Freegal Music Works:

• Library users have a limit of three downloads per week. Your counter will set back to zero each week, Monday morning. Then you can download three more tunes during the new week.
• The downloads are all in the MP3 format with no DRM. This service will work with any MP3 player, including iPods, and can be loaded into iTunes. It works on both PCs and Macs.
• Every song has a sample clip you can listen to before you download.
