Teen Manga Workshop with Andy and Veronica Fish

If you're a teen who loves manga and anime, and who also loves to draw, this program is for you! Respected comics artists Andy Fish and Veronica Fish will be here Monday July, 17 at 2:00pm to teach you the basics of manga drawing as well as some history of the art form. In Japan, almost everyone is into this popular art form and Americans are discovering the excitement. Andy and Veronica's workshops will cover a brief history of the art form and then feature a hands-on demo which the attendees follow along with producing their own works.

Andy studied art at The School of Visual Arts in New York City as well as Rhode Island School of Design, has also attended Clark University and Worcester State College. Andy has a diverse commercial art client list ranging from local businesses to International companies. He was an Artist Mentor for Art All State, taught youth and adult art programs at the Worcester Art Museum and currently teaches Sequential Art at Emerson College in Boston. He is the author of 4 How-to art books and 16 graphic novels.  

Veronica was educated at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.  Her work has been featured in many publications and gallery shows in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. She taught portfolio prep at the Worcester Art Museum for many years as well as designing the mascot from Higgins Armory, Helmutt the Dog. She continues to work as a painter, illustrator and comic artist and is currently the regular artist on the ARCHIE relaunch for Archie Comics working with writer Mark Waid. She has also worked for Marvel Comics on HOWARD THE DUCK and SILK. They live in Massachusetts with their dog, Allie Oop.
