Olympians in ancient Greece embodied the ideals of physical strength and moral virtue, and served as the perfect subject for sculptors to capture in both marble and bronze. On Thursday, June 16 at 7pm in Memorial Hall, Addison Gallery Curatorial Assistant, Kelley Tialiou, will explore artists' fascination with the subject of sport from antiquity up to the present day, focusing on key ex amples in American art.
