Bring history to life with our historical newspapers!

Did you know Memorial Hall Library has digitized select local newspapers dating from 1853 through 1967? These papers are available online in searchable PDFs making what was once only available on microfilm accessible from home. The Library has just completed the second phase of a multi-year project to digitize old Andover newspapers. The latest phase of this endeavor gives researchers online access to a searchable database of local newspapers including:

  • Andover Advertiser 2/1853 - 2/1866
  • Andover Townsman  10/1887 - 3/1967
  • Lawrence American 2/1866 -12/1907
