Get Your Seeds Today at the Andover Seed Library - while they last!

We are excited that a seed shipment arrived today from Fedco, a cooperative seed company located in Maine. It includes a wide assortment of vegetables, herbs and flowers - all your favorite varieties, grown here in the North and well suited to our climate. It's easy to borrow seeds from our Seed Library. Everyone is welcome and current members, please feel free to stop by again and borrow more seed. Gardening season is upon us, after a long New England winter. Let's dig in!

Remember, it's still too cold at night to plant warm weather crops outside directly. Greens, root vegetables and many herbs love this weather. Basil and tomatoes can be started indoors right now, as can annual flowers, such as zinnias, marigolds and cosmos. Cucumbers, beans and squash shouold be direct seeded outdoors, but wait a few more weeks until the weather has settled. If you need more information or just want to chat about your garden stop by the Seed Library on the first floor, around the corner from the Ref Desk and right outside the office of the Assistant Director.
