If you haven't already noticed we have a new catalog! Thank you for your patience during the transition the last few days. We're so excited to be able to offer this new system to our patrons. The new system comes with some great updates and new features.
Some features of the new catalog include:
Better searching and design, for example, if you misspell something you'll still come up with results. The catalog will ask, "Did you mean...", similar to a Google search.
Overdrive titles are listed in the new catalog and you can download them right from the website.
New & popular items will be easier to find and request.
Patrons will be able to pay their bills with a debit or credit card right from the catalog.
The catalog will be available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
Easier to see when holds are available and if you owe fees.
We understand there may be a learning curve for some people. Please feel free to call the Reference Desk at 978-623-8430 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help.
All pins will be reset to the last four digits of your phone number (the number associated with your library account, cell or home). If you don’t recall your PIN and have an email address in your account you can also do a “password reset” as is available on most web pages where you create an account.
Finally, as with any new system there have been a few techincal glitches. The first is that many patrons have items in their checkout list with the status “assumed lost.” Many of these are from years ago although some are from recently. None of these should still be on the patron card and we are working with MVLC to remove them. Second, most things cannot be renewed. Luckily, we don't charge fines for late items, so please don't stress! We are hoping that these minor issues will be resolved quickly, but in the meantime please bear with us. Thank you in advance!
